Everything, and I do mean everything, is going green these days — and hey, that’s great, the environment is unquestionably important.  In going green, a lot of things are also becoming solar powered.  People are using solar panels to power their houses, their water lines, their cell phones, and goodness only knows what else.  We all know that car manufacturers are constantly trying to advance technology so they can make a clean burning, environmentally safe car as well.

And that is where Toyota comes in, right about now.  The Toyota Prius is one of the most well known green cars out there at the moment — and now Toyota is working on a solar powered Prius.  The real surprise here?  It actually looks quite stylish!  For serious, I wouldn’t mind cruising down the street in a car like that — would you?

The reason these solar panels are so important is because they will actually charge the car while it is parked in a garage or outside, thus allowing people to drive at night, after the car is all charged up.  This is the crux of the car, since most people in the past have eschewed the idea of solar powered vehicles on the grounds that most people drive after dark, when the sun’s gone down.
