Some of the trends for the upcoming spring season are absolutely breathtaking, while others are a little … weird.

In the breathtaking category, we have the very structured hairdo. These styles are calculated but still manage to be cool. Often but not always updos, they are like Holly Golightly chic with a modern twist.

In the weird category we have … bows. Yeah. Bows. It is proof that if you wait a while, even the most heinous trend will find its way back. Shoulder pads, anyone?

Anyway, anyone who was even remotely aware of the 1980s should be familiar with this trend. Remember Madonna’s early, lace days? Remember Alyssa Milano before she starred as Amy Fisher and that slutty little flower, Lily, in the Poison Ivy sequel? Bow boasting babes, both of them — and now you can be, too!

For one thing, rainbows are going to be all the rage, in that lots of colors will be showing up on ‘lids all over the world. Yellow, pink, lime: colors like this will have a place.

So will blue, but not like the blue many of us remember from the 1980s. Instead, look for dark, dramatic shades, like cobalt and gorgeous indigo colors.

The smoky eye still rains supreme, as well. However, they are no longer all about black. Keep on the look out for all kinds of variations on this dramatic look.

Not so, however. The motorcycles designed, built, and driven during World War II are responsible for a lot of the design elements.

Still, it may well be the future before people start trying to navigate their way through crowded city streets in this bike.
