Christie’s holds auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s pearls, diamonds, and LV luggage
I admire anyone who I know goes well beyond her time. Her works are classic. Her beauty is timeless. One of these people is Elizabeth Taylor. This woman has a really fine taste when it comes to jewelry as you will see on the line up of items that will be auctioned by Christie’s later this month.
The estimated value of the sales might hit around $30 million and will benefit the Aids Foundation named after the great actress. The more than 500 lots reflect the engagement of Liz Taylor with the different jewelry design trends from the geometric shapes of the 50’s, whimsical mixed looks of the 60’s, thru her pendants in the 70s. Here are some of my favorite pieces:
Multi-gem bracelet

This piece made of Art Deco diamonds and other gems seems fit for the woman who played Cleopatra in the 1960s.
Bulgari sapphire sautoir with diamonds
The actress got this for her 30th birthday. Pure opulence.
Liz Taylor Diamond

The ring of rings in this collection. This was given by Richard Burton to Taylor in 1968. It’s a 33.19 carat diamond acquired thru an auction. It belonged to the collection of Vera Krupp of a German family known for steel manufacturing.
